Viggen Prototype 37-1 Was Scrapped This Summer.

Wed Aug 08, 2012 7:38 pm

Due to heavy corrosion and lack of funding for indoor display the Viggen prototype 37-1 was scrapped this summer.
37-1 was displayed outside the Swedish Air Force Museum at Linköping-Malmslätt Air Force Base.
Saved for the future is the instrument panel and nose cone. Sad news

It's a real shame she couldn't be saved.

Sad, a historic example of a fine aircraft type.
