B-29 "fifi" Visit To Arizona

Fri Mar 08, 2013 2:30 pm

Greetings from Scottsdale.

We recently had a visit to Mesa Gateway airport (ex-Williams AFB) by Fifi the B-29.
What an amazing aircraft.

During the tour, I snapped a photograph of the engineer station panel in the cockpit
behind the co-pilot station.

One of the dials is labelled "PUTT PUTT".
Any ideas what this dial is specific to?

See attached picture. The dial is on the bottom right below the voltmeter selection switch.

Thanks! Peace to you.
