Iran Air Force 747/ Interior Question(s)

Fri Mar 29, 2013 8:24 pm

Hello All:

After looking at many pictures of the Iran Air Force 747 tankers, I became a bit curious as to if they still retain the former TWA 747 interiors from the 1970's. Does anyone have any pictures of the inside of these beautiful 747s?

Well I'm a bit surprised that the photographer, Sam Chui, was allowed to take pics there!
Quite a coup for him though.

Evidently not as it was bought from TWA by Boeing, converted into a freighter, and then sold to the IIAF in 1975:

This is off topic but my father flew that airframe when he was a pilot with TWA back in the day:

I'll have to tell him that it's still flying with the IRIAF but I wonder how many cycles it has now?
