M-346 Down In Italy, Pilot Safely Ejected

Today the Aermacchi's M-346 well known for its red livery crashed in North Italy.

The pilot ejected and is OK.

The M-346 is a trainer, doesn't it normally carry two crew members (but can easily be flown by just one)? I am happy that at least one of them got out.

From the color of the airframe wreckage in the linked article, plus the comments added to this photo, it looks like it was a company-owned test/demo airframe, rather than an operational aircraft, with one test pilot on board.

Exactly,it was a company-owned demo airplane..guess someone have now some serious question,since it's the 2nd airframe lost this way
