Help Identifying Experimental Fighter

Mon Jun 24, 2013 11:05 pm

I came across this at my sons school today. Some of the older kids had done projects on WW2 and this was a photo on one of the covers. It was in a montage of clip art so no info, I consider myself fairly well up on WW2 fighters, even experimental but this one has me stumped. I presume its an early jet using a a prop, its got a very interesting wing plan form too,

Or, if Wikipedia isn't to your liking:

Interesting find. Never heard of this aircraft before.
