CAF B-29 'FIFI' In Nashville Area Now

Wed Jul 03, 2013 11:30 pm

I guess this is civil av (she's registered NX), but for anyone in the Nashville, TN area interested, the B-29 is on static/flying display through this coming weekend at the old Sewart AFB (now Smyrna Airport - MQY).

Special interest here...I crewed her some dozen years back and went out today for dredging up memories. Still neat to see the only operational B-29 left worldwide. There's also a P-51 ("Gunfighter") and a couple of other vintage a/c. Donation cost to the display is $10., includes cockpit tour, etc. Rides are $500. plus. Just a heads-up. Regards...jack

Very neat. To ride aboard FiFi is indeed on my bucket list before I die. Nice to see the results of the hard work restoring the B-29 to pristine flight condition.
