I rarely start a topic, but this gentleman is certainly deserving of his own. USAF Brig. Gen. Robinson “Robbie” Risner was best known as an F-105 pilot and POW during the Vietnam war, though he also flew in WW II and Korea (where he became an F-86 ace) and was an inspiration to those who served with him, and a served as a role model for those of us who came after him who were fortunate enough to wear Air Force wings.

A great leader and pilot has passed. RIP, Sir.

Just like the passing earlier this year of Col. Bud Day. WWII, Korea, and Vietnam POW. Not too many men like this.
RIP General Risner.
