The job doesn't require me to work hard all day and I get a lot of flak from friends because of it but hey they're just jealous!!
Tarango is just awful, I am embarassed when I watch/hear of him acting up. He gives tennis and the USA a bad name. McEnroe was pretty bad too but at least he was a brilliant tennis player, which really doesn't justify anything I guess.
I had the Martin/Agassi match on just before leaving work and they were talking about suspending the match because of rain and I am not sure what happened.
(Not only do I have a computer at work but T.V. too, what can I say?)
I have never seen a grass court before and am curious as to what it is like. Is it hard packed flat earth with grass or is it just like a regular lawn cut short?
In my opinion I think that they should ban hard courts altogether as they are too rough on the body, and just play on clay and grass (assuming that grass is less hard than hard courts, I would imagine that the grass would absorb some of the stress of running whereas hard courts do not absorb much at all).
I would hope (which always springs eternal) that Venus, if she gets that far, does beat Hingis, as I have said before I don't like Hingis, she needs to grow up! However having said that, I suppose that it is very hard for these young tennis prodigys to have a normal growing up period, which is sad, and probably contributes to the tempers etc.
O.K. off to get another beer and to get ready for another day of hard work tomorrow!!
