Puerto Rico is my "home away from home." I love Puerto Rico, the beaches, the rainforest, the people, the history, everything about the island. I have relatives in Hato Rey, and I usually stay with them when I go there. But I have also visited Fajardo, Ponce, Lajas, Magajuez, Manatee, Bayamon, and Caguas. I love El Yunque, the rainforest in Puerto Rico. My family climbed one of the mountain, it was a spectacular view from the top. Then there's the Camuy cave park, with huge caverns and underground passageways. Another interesting place is the largest radar telescope in the world, located in Aracibo. Situated in the basin of 3 large hills, it's an amazing site to see. Old San Juan is also another one of my favorite places. El Morro, La Fortaleza, and other places are amazing. Then, of course, there's Isla Verde and Corinado. The pristine beaches, hotels, and casinos are lively all throughout the night. But one of my favorite places is an area close to Fajardo, where there is a row of small shack-like, open-air restaurants with tin roofs next to the road and overlooking the beach. There you can get a coco frio and sit by the beach at sunset, it's great. I love Puerto Rico, and I can't wait until the next time I go back.

I go to Puerto Rico whenever I get a chance as I have many relatives there...most live in Guaynabo (in fact my grandmother only lives two blocks from the Telefonica). Although some live in the mountains of Mayaguez (my grandmother even owns a farm there.) The only thing is...I hate Munoz Marin Airport! It is a darned shame that visitors cannot come in to the gate area (like you can at my home airport)...that and the food service from there (at least on American, the governing airline) is terrible...but besides that, I love Puerto Rico and, of course, the Coquis.
