Queens is CRAP, are you kidding? Brooklyn is much better than Queens. The only thing going for Queens is if you live in Astoria you are very close to midtown. Brooklyn on the other hand as great areas like Brooklyn Heights (veddy expensive, as expensive as Manhathan, but such a beautiful neighborhood!) Park Slope, Cobble Hill, etc etc. Not that Brooklyn doesn't have it's bad parts, but on the whole, Brooklyn has nicer areas with tree lined streets and better architecture. Queens, is just UGLY UGLY UGLY, and has some of the worst places (like most of the neighborhoods along the 7 train line).

Hey Surf, from the sounds of it you dont live in New York, so shut up because you dont know a thing your talking about. What are you from California, hinting to your username. You cant make such a statement if you dont even live in NYC.

Hey I lived in queens for five years. It was the best years of my teenage years. I graduated from Newtown High. Don't try to give queens a bad rep. Have you forgotten about Forest Hills, East Elmhurst, Douglaston, Jamaica Estates, and so on. Brooklyn is a big dump. I've been to Park Slope and it's nothing compared to the neighborhoods in Queens.

King767 you're right on the money. I think Queens is one of the nicest Boroughs to live in NYC.

Hey Texairport, there are nice parts of NJ to live in. Of course, you'd have to scoot down to exit 2 to find 'em...like me

Mind you, I like Newark a lot. Probably something to do with the airport of course !

Ok surf, go down to Bed-Stuy, or Williamsburg and take a walk around. Then go up to Flushing and take a look around. Compare the two. Im sure youl will have to change your mind.

Like I said, Brooklyn does have it's bad areas but as far as Williamsburg goes, gentricfication is steamrolling on it's way..in fact, it is becoming one of the trendiest new neighborhoods in Brooklyn, with trendy new restaurants and bars and all the artists moving in (who always are the ones to trailblaze this things). Don't you read? Oh, I've been to Flushing, right there at the end of the 7 line? It's gross.

Dont I read? What the hell are you talking about? Flushing for one thing is not "gross", and williamsburg is not any better if not equal to Flushing.

I probably wouldn't live in Williamsburg just yet, but give it a few more years...

There's no gentrification going on in Flushing, it's not getting any better...Flushing is just nasty, and it's staying that way...it's just.....GROSSSSSS!!!

But if you like it, enjoy!

Surf is is only talking about Main Street in Flushing. If only you go further you would see what king767 is talking about. Isn't the Main Street of every town a big disaster with all the shops and people? Duh.

Anyway. King767 you forgot about Bayside which is not too far from flushing. Now that is what I call nice.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend you guys. Don't do anything I wouldn't do

Alexander.
