New Game Show: Contestants In Outer Space!

Thu Sep 14, 2000 5:47 am

No kidding.

I saw on Access Hollywood last night where this new game show is in the works for next year: Contestants will be selected to be trained by the Russian Military to prepare for space travel aboard the "MIR" space shuttle. If they successfully make it past that training, they actually go with a Russian Space crew for a 10-day Space flight orbiting the earth to enter a satellite station (I think). I can't recall what kind of cash prize is involved (if any).

Anyway, I couldn't believe that the producers are actually going through with this! They're serious. Doesn't this seem a little too dangerous for the average person?

I sure da hell wouldn't do anything so far-fetched.

I'm already there, check out my profile.

You've been here not very long and you've pissed off quite a few people--I like that.  Although I have this feeling that this is not your first username. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW, what is your opinion on that other aircraft manufacturer? That might give me a clue...

If you have an idea on what his past username was, type it into the search button, it will display his old username even though it has been banned.

This kind of stuff pisses me off. What pisses me off about it is that there are people out there who spend thousands of dollar so that they can learn rocket science and devote their lives to being astronauts, and what happens, people are chosen for some stupid game show that will get put up in space by OUR tax dollars funding the spacecraft! It shouldn't be like this, and it pisses me off.

CstarU's Question About Me

Thu Sep 14, 2000 2:23 pm

CstarU:

Yes and no about my status here. Yes, I've been frequenting Airliners.net for awhile, but without a username of my own. I've been watching a buddy of mine use this site for about a month, on his computer, under his own username. (He's still a member here and I won't mention his handle.). That's why I'm already familiar with some of the usual a**holes such as...... well nevermind.

Now that I just bought my own computer, I can now participate under MY OWN username and unveil other members' lunacies without affecting my buddy's more "polite" reputation.

So, no, I haven't been "banned" under another name. Anything you're seeing under SEVEN_FIFTY7 is all original.

So to all the devious and vindictive creeps who're trying to figure who I "used to be" you can relax.

I didn't exist here before. (Unfortunately).

Thanks CstarU.

You are clearly one of the level-headed ones in here (along with my buddy that inroduced me to this site). Perhaps the other bullies can take a calm lesson from you.

Afterall, they certainly won't listen to me. --Too much resistance to the truth in their venomous blood, I guess.

That's okay because I realize jealousy is always the best compliment.
