HP Graphing Calcs

Why do they only require 3 batteries while most TI's and Casios require 4?

Maybe so, but how long do those 3 batteries last compared to 4?

And do they use AA's when the TI's use AAA's?

As far as I know, they are AAA batteries. My main question here is are HP graphing calculators more energy-efficient than TI's?

I can't answer that question. Why is it a game-boy needs 4 batteries while a game gear needs 6?

It's because each is set up differently. It could be because TI uses cheaper less energy efficient screens to keep purchasing costs down. The batteries in my TI-83 lasted a full year almost.

Still, I believe that the costs are comparable if not cheaper for HP. Once I saw an HP-48 (I believe the equivalent of the TI-86) that cost as much as a TI-83 Plus.
