Hi. Do you guys enjoy living in your own country??? Or do you wish to move to another place to live??? If yes, where and why???

   

I would never move except for work. Canada is the greatest!

I do. Switzerland is for me the best country world-wide.

I do...It's not my home country and I will always want to return but living in the UK is really good. I get to see the world, have a better job and my local airport is LHR and LGW  

I enjoy living in San Diego and would also be happy in a few other select cities in the United States, but I wouldn't be happy in any major city in the U.S. If I had to move to another place, it would probably be Australia.

As a teenager, I have to say that living in my town sometimes becomes tedious and I want to get out. but, i'd have to say that it was a fine place to grow up. I make fun of Texas a lot, but I can't think of any other place i'd rather be a kid in. As far as an adult goes, I hope that I get to one of 4 places: Virginia, Washington State, Montreal, or London UK. I want to live in a place where it's not so hot all the time. It just hurts to sweat walking from your front door to your car during the summer in Texas.

I like living in the US. It is quite different than the UK, but that's good. I definitely cannot not live in Boston though. Right now, I'm thinking of trying my luck in Canada, but nothing is definite yet. If I stay in the States, it would be south somewhere. Call me crazy, but if it's not sweltering how, where even-the-palm-trees-are-smouldering kind of hot, or the oh-my-God-my eyeballs-are-freezing type of cold, I'm not happy

Having lived in both Canada and New Zealand there are things I like about each in no particular order:

Canada
Education/Employment opportunities
More ethnically diverse population
A major research and developing and manufacturing country
A second official language
Sports and athletics - pro and amateur
More open-minded belief system
Health care system

New Zealand
Weather (lack of cold weather to be specific)!
Nature (forests, beaches, lakes etc)
More involvement and eduction re: native persons
More friendly/neighbourly people
Lack of pollution
National pride
Distance from American influence (in politics and culture)

and the things I don't like about each, also in no particular order:

Canada
Weather
Indifference to others - cold, individualistic personalities
Pollution
Dependance on the US
Indifference to national issues

New Zealand
Racism
Fewer opportunities
Wildly fluctuating economy
Only two major ethnic groups: Pakeha (white) and Maori
Health-care becoming more American-style

I can't really say one is much better than the other. In the ideal situation, I would live in Canada from May-October and New Zealand from November-April (for obvious reasons!)  

I love living in my country, as most of you know. But there are other places that I really like and could live quite happily for a while:

Auckland - New Zealand
Santa Monica - USA (I have a peverse taste for LA, but Santa Monica is really nice.)
Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

Finally, an honest, objective Aussie! Usually the only thing we hear from you guys is what you think we do with the sheep. There is much more to NZ than the copious wooly creatures  

The US itself leaves much to be desired, such as a greater emphasis on pushing the unemployed into the work market instead of just pumping money into Welfare. My philosophy is that, if you can pick up a shovel, you can work.
Health care despite it's advanced nature, is extremely unaccessable to those who can't afford it. What's the good in the best medical attention in the world if so few can have it?
We also need a presidential candidate who will bring dignity and respect to the office of president. I don't think that neither Gore nor Bush will come through.
If I moved anywhere else in the world, it would be Toronto. (Canadian, but not unlike the US as far as business and everyday culture.)

I love living in the U.S., and there's one thing that makes it grand. All the beautiful nature there is to explore, all the different national parks, all the beautiful mountains, beaches, deserts, forests, bodies of water, all so beautiful. Best is in good ol' California.

I like living here in Norway, We have beautifull nature, a civilized country with up to date "things", and we have our presious oil wich make Norway one of the richest countries in the world.

Oh yeah! I really enjoy to live in Sweden. Even if the weather isn't the best all the time.

The US gets boring for me. I wished I lived in Europe where the health care is better and a lot of cool stuff is like Paris, Greece, Italy, Alps and all the other wonders.

Living in IND is sorta better than SFO. In a part of my childhood I lived in Milbrae. The apartment complex was right by this old theater whith Graffieti. I remember when I was 7 I saw the word FUCK on the building. I was soooo glad to move to vacaville when I was 8.

In SFO I was in walking distance from a Taco Bell (if El Camino Real wasnt 8 lanes and so damn busy!  )
In IND we have to DRIVE to one!

Milbrae had the best chineese food restaurant. You will see it on Brodway downtown right by Wells Fargo Bank.
Also PARS on El camino Real had great persian food.

IND has really good schools and I am thankfull.
