Ok, now I'm scared. Cincinatti won a game, Cleveland is neck and neck with Jacksonville, and Baltimore is in the lead in the AFC Central. Elsewhere in the league, the Giants are 4-1, the Chiefs are actually staging a comeback, and Minnesota is 4-0!
Well, at least Jon Kitna is looking less like Brett Favre and more like his piss poor self again.

The Rams are 5-0!!! Can you say repeat??!!

I am surprised with Cleveland, but I think it's cool.

The season is still early.

Favre looked like crap on Sunday against da Bears.

Jags are my favorite team, but they are pissing me off, I mean, how can they lose to Pittsburgh, and AT home. Bucs are a bit disappointing, losing to the Jets (at home) and the Redskins (who suck with all the money they've spent). I am laughing at Daniel Snyder, he doesnt realize that money cant buy team chemistry. Sooooo, that leaves me with the team I am most impressed with this year, Miami, they used to be my faves until Jax got a team. Miami is 4-1 in a supposed 'off' year, being that Marino retired and the dreaded Wannstedt is coach, GO Miami!

People will be more surprised when the Vikes beat Tampa on Monday Night Football next week to go 5-0. Count on it. Tampa doesn't have the offense to stay with the Vikings, and their defense is looking more average as the season goes on.

Anyone else in a fantasy football league around here? I am, and it ain't pretty. We're 0-5, at least until Fred Taylor starts playing like himself again.

Actually, the Ravens aren't much of a surprise. They have always had great defense, and what they truly needed was a good quarterback and offense, so that's what they did during the off season. Joe Theismann in American Way actually predicts a Washington-Baltimore Superbowl. But then again, this is a man who once said on national tv "He's no Norman Einstein".
Being born in Baltimore, all I have to say is Go Ravens!

Hey I have enjoyed the past year and am still going strong for this year.....

Hey I am entitled to brag. I was a fan back when Tom Flores was coaching them, so I have been to hell and back.

As I live in JAX, I'm certainly a die-hard Jags fan, but with a team that's got a defense which is just plain bad, and an offense which has been so-so at best recently, I'm leaning more towards my "secondary" teams of Minnesota and Cleveland. I like the Vikes because I have lots of family in Minnesota, and I'm headed to college at St. Cloud State in a few years, and Cleveland because I've always liked pulling for the underdog.
As far as STL goes- yes, they have an offense which could win them another Superbowl. Question time- is their defense good enough to keep the other team from outscoring in a shootout?
My Superbowl prediction: St. Louis- 3, Cincinatti- 49.

Minnesota- 31, New York Jets- 17.

Here's my starting roster--
QB Steve McNair-TEN
RB Fred Taylor-JAX
RB Jonathan Linton-BUF
WR Albert Connell-WASH
WR Muhsin Muhammad-CAR
TE Ken Dilger-IND
K Jeff Wilkins-STL
D Miami

I guess you can see why I'm 0-5...

N156F-Nice Super Bowl prediction! You think the Vikes can get past the Rams?

Yes, I think Minnesota can get past the Rams. Obviously the game will be a shootout, but I think Minnesota has just enough defense to slip past the Rams. If you want my entire playoff tree prediction, here it is:
Wild Card:
Oakland vs. Jacksonville (OAK by 6)
Indianapolis vs. Tenessee (IND by 3)
New York Jets vs. Indianapolis (NYJ by 10)
Baltimore vs. Oakland (BAL by 7)
New York Jets vs. Baltimore (NYJ by 7)

Wild Card:
Tampa Bay vs. Philadelphia (Yes, THAT Philly!) (TPA by 13)
Minnesota vs. New York Giants (MIN by 21)
St. Louis vs. Tampa Bay (STL by 14)
Washington vs. Minnesota (MIN by 17)
St. Louis vs. Minnesota (MIN by 3)

Superbowl: Minnesota 31, New York Jets 17

If I make any changes to this, it'll be to take JAX off and replace it with either MIA or DEN if the Jags don't shape up. Tampa may well get the bye instead of Washington, and I think St. Louis's a shoe-in for the bye.
