We Are All Human.

Tue Oct 24, 2000 8:33 pm

Hey evryone.

We are all human. I have red so many posts just recently regarding the awful things in hapening in the midle east. Its sad to see people disagre with problems hapening there. A child gets shot. Youthys get slaugtered. Adult men are slain in the name of religon.

We are human, after all. We all feel pain, we all have apinions. We all suffer from ignorence and bigotry. We all have an axe to grind. And we all hurt. I have studied on the internet a lot about the holocost for the people of the Jewish religion and others, including homosexuals who were systematically slaughtered during the second world war.

When people feel so violent about their land rights why can't we some how cater for them? We have so much wasted food in America - why cant we supply it to others in need? Why do the Chinese insist on having Taiwan as part of their country?

Politics, money, religon and plain old greed.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all get along? I know its impossible but it would be good.

Simple thoughts from a simple man. I am now proud to be who I am and thats gay. I have no problem with that and my father is coming round to thinking the same about himself. And to add a nice thought to the end of this qustionable post - I think I may have found a partner for myself.

My point of this post? We are all human with the same desires and needs. Isn't it time we spent more on making sure others get the same chances that we have had in the good ole' USA. Forget being a So-Bap, forget being a radicle Republican. Be human and look at your inner self and see the goodness that is in you.

Help somone to help themselfs.

Adam - and thanks to all the people who helped me help myself.

Hey Adam,
yours are beautiful words but since we are all human those things you mentioned about hate, racial differences, wars and so on will ever exists 'cause it is in the human nature to be aggressive and classist.
The situation anyway might be improved as it has improved since the last 2000 years.
Globalization and the continuos exchange of information as well as knowledge could help mankind in deleting barriers and differences between people.

Very well said Adam!

Unfortunatelly you are right when you say it is impossible for the human race to get along has it is human nature to do whatever it takes to get more power/money, of course not everybody is like that, but there will always be someone somewhere who will try to get that power by any means.

Congratulation for your great post.
And I am really happy that you have found yourself.

delete...differences between people?

I disagree. We should instead celebrate our differences and learn to appreciate them.

Sorry,
I didn't express well what I wanted to say.
I didn't refer to cultural and historical differences but I wanted to say conflicts in such things as religion, economy and so on....

Adam you're right we are all human. What I find really disappointing is every one says war is awful and that is true, racism is terrible, children getting shot how sad, all true facts than everyone turns around and supports abortion. I can't figure it out. Than you get the same people hugging trees and wanting to save the enviroment and than you get people protesting the cost of fuel and than they turn around and buy bottled water. Just a few thoughts.

I agree for the most part with you-i am glad to hear your fam is taking it good... There are so many things that can be changed for the better in this world..but we all have to do our part. the only problem is that people are prone to promote their own self good...prone to taking advantage of others. Some people want to be led..some people want to follow. We have to make sure the people that follow are led by the right leaders.

Also....what is the huge sore against being southern baptist? I am a southern baptist, raised by southern bap. parents and alot of my friends are southern baptist and are nothing like these complete crap stereotypes everyone has. friends from my church and i helped rebuild 20 freaking houses in a very poor area of beaufort south carolina this summer....along with other groups all around the country doing the same. Friends from FSU went on trips literally everywhere in the world to help people. People sit here and talk about compassion and treating everyone with respect..and then proceed to bash a group like that...and its all over this board.
Chicks dig winglets.

I agree with you, Turboprop. War is not awful all of the time... in many cases it is a good thing that achieves a ligitimate objective.
We can't shoot people on the battlefield, but we can go inside someone's body and vacuum out an unborn child.
You have people who say they are against big oil companies (not naming any names, of course), yet own half of a million shares of stock in a certain oil company whose name is similar to "accidental".
What a wonderful world we live in...

I agree with you, but then again, it is nice to have differences that separate people from one another, because without that, everybody would be the same, and the world would be a very boring place to live in.

N766AS & Sn330,

War is not awful all the time? I suggest you immerse yourselves in one that is happening around the world at this moment and then tell me that was is not awful all the time.

Obviously over the years we have had no choice but to go to war. The unspeakable acts of depravity that come to light during these wars is incredible. No-one single person should be put through that for any reason. I am sure if civil war broke out in your respective countries you wouldn't be too happy if the opposing sides decided they would rape your entire family, shoot your father then burn your house down.

My Grandfather (may he rest in peace) was a commando in the second world war in Timor. He told me once and only once the awful and unspeakable things he had seen in his time there. My Uncle served in Vietnam, he refuses to speak about what he had seen, he still has trouble sleeping indoors and is mentally scarred for life.

Never ever give creedence to war, it always brings the very worst out in human nature.
