How Many Of You Are Going To Vote?

Mon Oct 30, 2000 4:37 am

I just want to know who's really going to vote on November 7th. I don't care who you're voting for, I'd just like to know if you're going to vote.

In my case, I received my absentee ballot about a week ago and have already voted. If you're wondering I voted for Bush. Considering that I'm from Massachusetts, I don't think my vote's going to help him there!

Thanks!

I already voted too!
I voted Gore and the entire Democratic party ticket down to city Board of Supervisors.
I like to think that every vote counts regardles of margin of victory. Gore's won California anyway.
All that matters is that people get out and vote, even if it is for Bush!
I hate complainers who don't vote!

I'm not old enough to vote, but if I could I would VOTE JUDGE DICK MURPHY FOR SAN DIEGO MAYOR!!!!

Both my parents are going to vote for Bush I think.

You have a Dick Murphy running for mayor?
Thats cool! ()-)
He would easily win here in San Francisco!

I voted already for Al Gore

Dick & Bush sounds cool, but the last Dick screwed me!

I know Dick Murphy isn't the most pun-free of names but just remember:

I believe voting is important... especially this year in close elections. There have been many presidential elections decided by less than 100,000 popular votes. Plus on your local ballot there are numerous local issues that will have a direct impact on your daily lives. Get out there and vote and let the politicians know that you do vote. Especially the 18-25 group.

To quote former Arizona governor Rose Mofford, "If you don't vote, don't bitch."

DesertJets: Then what happens if you vote for the winner and they do stuff that isn't good in your opinion? Then do you have the right to bitch?

Just a little paradox I read about.

I voted last week. I always vote absentee ballot early. BTW: Bush will be at BUR on Monday (10/30) and the other candidate will be there on Tuesday. Jeff

I already voted by absentee ballot... like many college students, I won't be available November 7 to go to a polling place in San Diego.

Instead of voting absentee I re-registered myself down here in Pima County now that I will be living here full-time for the next few years. Voting by proxy long-distance seemed stupid to me. So I will be getting up early on the 7th to vote before I have to head off to class.

Good Job Everyone!

Tue Oct 31, 2000 10:15 am

I want to say a hearty "good job" to all those that are getting out the vote!

I really don't care who you're voting for, as long as you're voting.

My favorite quote came from "The West Wing" on NBC: "In a democracy sometimes the other people win," and I'm okay with that. As much as I would like Bush to win, I could care less if Gore wins.

That's because I hope Texas execrises their powers and decides to become their own country, when Gore takes office, so that all the other gun-toting, racist, anti-governmental Republicans and I have a place to our own!

I can't vote this time, but if I could, I would vote Bush, without a doubt. I REALLY hope that he wins. At least I'll be able to vote at the next presidential election.

Voting is a citizen's obligation to himself, his municipality and his country. Vote for who you feel will do the best, research and look at all the aspects of every candidate. That's for everyone in every country.

No matter how odious the choices, vote. I will, "clothespin on the nose", since my choices are pretty horrible. I'll vote for "dumb and dumber" Bush and Lazzio, since Al (PC Mind Control) Gore has "too many" answers and I am sick of Hillary's (I'm listening...) shrieking and screeching, yet saying nothing.
