For All You Coooool Jazz Fans...

Jazz FM is a radio station I regularly listen to here in the UK.

You too can tune in, by logging on to jazzfm.co.uk

Follow link "Listen to Jazzfm."

You'll need Windows Media Player.

Don't ask me who the Yank at the controls is, they all seem to be from the States these days! Big grin

Sit down, relax and BE MELLOW Big grin

Cheers

Oh, but me is a man of good taste...

Kidding. I'm into most things.

What are you referring to in "Hardcore"-Rage against the machine etc.??

I think I have one of their albums...does "Killing in the Name" ring any bells??

Also "Spaghetti Junction" by G&R-a quality album.

Cheers

Jazz FM is ok in small doses. Sometimes it is on during the morning at work. Too many adverts for me, but it is nice if you're feeling sleepy. Cut out the adverts and we would leave it on until 10am (at least)

Happy Hardcore is not rage against the machine! It is a kind of techno which has around 180 beats per minute!

I love Jazz!
I have over 2,000 Lp records, 8-tracks and reel to reel tape of all kinds of music.
I have about 300 Jazz albums.
My favorite era is the 1960s Bossa-Nova to the 1970s fusion.
Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, Joe Pass, Chick Corea, Quincy Jones, Deodato are some of my favorites.

I can not stand this new 'smooth jazz' junk on the radio. Good jazz ended about 1981 (IMO).

Superfly, I like your list, and would add Grover Washington (RIP), Wilton Felder and Al Jarreau.  Smile

The Jazz suck, I am glad Jeff Hornacek retired and John Stockton should be retiring soon. I hate Karl Malone.

j/k  Smile

For those that don't know, there is an NBA basketball team in the United States, particular Salt Lake City, Utah, named the Utah Jazz.

I certainly don't agree with your politics, but I do agree that the Utah Jazz sucks!
I can't stand the Utah Jazz!

Salt Lake City isn't even the birthplace of jazz!
I doubt SLC even has a jazz radio station.

When they left New Orleanes, they should have changed there name.
