When my wife, kid and I went to Australia, my mom told me that we should rent a manual-shift car since that made the transition to driving on the wrong- er, left- side of the road, and sitting on the right, easier.
Dunno, though, because the rental (a Holden VT Commodore) was automatic (and rather nice, too).
She also told me that I'd turn on the windshield wipers by accident (while going for the turn signal) within five minutes of taking the wheel. I dismissed this- I'm a good driver, not subject to those petty oversights! Oops, she was spot-on!
Spent the first three days chanting "keep left, keep left, keep left!"
Anyone else have any trouble transitioning from LHD to RHD or vice-versa?
