Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No.2 in B Minor

Bach: Toccata & Fugue in D Minor

Beethoven: Moonlight Sonata

Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture

Plus anything by Sash or Darude (even though it's not classical)!!!

I don't have a favorite... some I like, some I don't.

Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is cool, as is Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 11.

Most of them sounds really good so I can't think of any favourates.
A great alternative to modern music played at insane volume.

The Brandenburg concertos
Kleine Nachmusic.

I would have to add Wagner...Specifically the Ride of the Valkyries. I can just hear the hueys in the background

I have just picked up some Pokeriv(SPL. I don't have the album cover). I think I like songs with that strong sound such as the 1812, ect.
OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

Could it be Lt. Kije Suite, Op. 60 by Sergei Prokofiev.

Tchaikovsky: The Nut-Cracker Suite (especially "Dance of the Sugar Plum fairy" Big grin ).

Anything by Dvorak (esp The New World Symphony).

I'm not an expert on Classic Music, but I do often tune in either "Classic FM" or "Jazz FM", whilst driving here in the UK.

(Though some would argue that Gershwin is truly "Classical.")


I'm really more of a Celtic type though.

"Classical" is really much too broad a term.

For the most part, my favorite music is from the Baroque era.

Most anything by Vivaldi---The Four Seasons and his various violin concertos and flute concertos come to mind.

From Bach:
B Minor Sonata.
Brandenburg concertos
Badinerie from Suite in B Minor

Additionally:

--Telemann Suite in E Minor


For more modern pieces:
--Night on Bald Mountain by Mussorgsky (finished by Rimsky-Koraskov).

--Morceau de Concours by Fauré

Beethoven's 6th Symphony- for any hard-core Simpsons fans, it's in the episode when Itchy and Scratchy are redone to be nice, and the kids go out to play.  Smile

Symphony No.3 in C minor for organ and orchestra by Camille Saint-Saens. The organ passages in the final movement are pure power and rival anything JSB ever wrote. And that's some praise for a Frenchman coming from a Brit. Also the piano concerto no.2 in F by Dmitri Shostakovich is superb.

As a Classical Bassist, Violinist, and a fellow composer, I have to say my all time favorite composer is Mozart. I have an extensive collection of music though...mostly baroque and classical *my favorite periods*..My other favorite composers are Haydn, Salieri, Handel, Telemann, and Bach.

My all tiem favorite pieces *not in any order* are...

-Mozart - 4th Violin Concerto
-Mozart - Symphony No. 41
-Telemann - Viola Concerto in G
-Handel - Messiah
-Mozart - Divertimento in D and in F *my favorite recording of them is by Ensemble Wien*
-Dragonetti's Bass concerto in A *my favorite piece to perform hehe*

I had a crush on some songs.. and since Im a pienis.
I can play lota songs..
Fur Elise in Grade 3.. Wow I was good and stunned many at a talend show..
I regained that talent in G8 as I played Moonlight..
Very beautiful.. I actually touched alota hearts at my school.. Some new girls started to come into my life shortly after :::::::thankfully they noticed me while I was playing and they were probably moved by my performance..
Too bad I didnt win depite the amound of support as like 300 peeps were yelling out my name when the first place was announced.. There was a Tie.. but I didnt win.. Others thought it was me as 1 of em.. but surprisingly it was som hobo.. so Everybody Booed at them and were swearing of why I didnt win. True Fans..
Teachers got mad and shut us up.

G9.. I played Waldstien for Beethoven.
Now Im working on Tempest..  Smile Hrad and fast..
Now I like Tchichovsky's Piano Concerto No1.
Beethoven.. No 7 2nd movement.
and Barber Adagio for strings.. Ever yplayed
Homeworld.. the songs based on that..  Smile
Wagners Evening Star is good.
