Man Utd only have to score one goal, and they will be right back in it. I think/hope the reds will make to the semifinals.

as for Arsenal vs Valencia I'm not sure. I consider Arsenal the better team, but after they lost 3-0 to Middlesboro, anything can happen. On the other hand, Valencia did loose against Alaves.

Man Utd vs Valencia is my bet.

I do, I do... I just think it's looking bleak for them tonight and tomorrow...(Valencia & Bayern Munich are both my all time favourite teams!!!)

My favourite British team is Manchester City!!! It's where our national soccer star Pablo Cesar Wanchope is playing!!! Hope they manage to stay in the 1st league....

I hope none of the English teams get through to the final because I think a Valencia Vs Real Madrid final would be awesome. And it would also prove that the Spanish League is the best in Europe. As the English commentators have been saying, if an English team wins it then that proves how the English premier league is so the greatest, and up in Scotland we will be subject to those big-headed English commentators etc boasting and their oh-so biased commentating in the matches. Valencia vs Real Madrid? That was the final last year.
Valencia Man Utd, now that would be something.  Smile

Well look at that. I had one guess correct, just wait and see how my next goes. Big grin

btw Gkirk, do you know the name of that scottish comentator who allways talks during the important matches in Premier League?

Here are some figures (Call it what you want.)

Manchester United: Have won the last two matches in the Premier League easilly, and seccured their third premiership trophee in a row. Like I mentioned, they only need to score a single goal to be back in it. In both matches they played in the premiership, a goal was scored by United within the last 10 minutes of the game. When Man Utd beat Bayern Munich in the Finals two years ago, both United goals were scored on stopage time.
Despite the loss of David Beckham due to suspension, United have a strong team.

Bayern Munich: Lost at home on the Olympia stadium to Shalke 04 (1-3) and also went from 1st to 2nd in the Bundesliga. They have two of the players that played the last time against Man U suspended. Have to play defencevly, which could create oppertuneties for Mancester United. If the reds score 2 goals, Bayern have to score to equal. Bayern Munich is also a strong team, but we can all keep in mind what happened to them in the 98-99 final.

My bet: Manchester United will win with more than one goal, one of which will be scored within the last 10-15 minutes of the game.  Smile

Now how's that for an investigative report. Big grin

Thom@s, I wouldnt have said that Man Utd won their game against Coventry easily. In fact they were made to work for the 3 points and were lucky in getting them.
My prediction??? Bayern Munich 2-2 Man Utd, with Bayern going through 3-2 on agg.

I'm sure Leeds will beat Valencia. It's a shame that both Man Utd and Arsenal went out when they were both clearly superior to their opposition. I don't think Leeds will make the same mistake....

My money would be on Real Madrid to win the final though.

What about your predictions for Liverpool vs Barcelona tonight? I reckon there will be loads of goals, and I think it's still a close call, but I would favour Liverpool slightly. 3-2 Liverpool! Smile

My hopes:

Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid 0-7 (or more)

Valencia vs Leeds 3-2

As for the United match, Beckham was obviously missed. Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole should have been replaced before second half.

About that Liverpool vs Barcelona match, I was really hoping Barca would score. Too bad Liverpool won. I hope Alaves beat them in the finals, allthough I doubt it.

I kinda hope Arsenal will beat Liverpool in the FA Cup also.  Acting devilish

As for next season, we'll probably see Man Utd vs Glasgow Rangers in the finals, eh GKirk? Big grin

GO UNITED, ALAVES AND ARSENAL.  Big thumbs up

Real Madrid to beat Bayern Munich 3-1

This is how Man U did the last years.

98/99 got to the final and beat Bayern Munich
99/00 Lost against Real Madrid in the semi finals
00/01 Lost against Bayern Munich in the quarter finals

Unless something happens, your guesses might come true GKirk.  Sad

Rangers will not get to the second group stage. They will do what they do every year and outplay their opposition without ever converting it into goals and then give away stupid goals in the last few minutes to unluckily go out.

On the other hand, if Celtic sign a few more decent players (no offence but Larsson is the only player who would be a good player in the English Premiership) then they can do well as they seem to have more of the fighting spirit. I think Rangers have lost the Scottish tenacity that makes games against Scottish teams a f*cking headache.

I agree, that Cantona guy was brilliant. Andy cole moved over to give him more room. Only Roy Kean at the other end of the lineup noticed they were one too many. Then Gary Neville discovered him and started telling the rest that there was an imposter in the team.

The Cantona look-alike only had one detail mising to blend in completely. The Man U logo on his Shorts was coloured, while the others wore it in black and white. He also didn't have the Champions League ball on the sleve and the players number on his Shorts. But who is looking after imposters when a match this important is around the corner?  Smile

Sorry for bringing this topic back to the top, but instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd just use this one.

I was wondering if anyone knows exactly what happened to Oliver Kahn in the United vs Munich game.
He played the entire match despite the fact that he seemed unconcious (sp?). Was he knocked out or wasn't it such a big deal? Seemed pretty serious to me.

About the picture in my previous post; Can't any of you see him?  Smile
