Tape Talk Vol I

Sun Apr 22, 2001 11:02 am

Ok...let's see if this flies. This will be the first volume to where those of us who still love the analog sound can gather and chat. Or if you have a question about taping, this will be the place to ask.

I guess I'll start with a few questions:

What is your favorite taping method? cassette, reel to reel, 8-track, or DAT?

How many of you are familiar with reel to reel machines?
What was your favorite deck?
I would've loved to get a Teac X-2000R

If you like cassette, do you prefer Type I, II or IV tape?

Can you tell the difference between Dolby C and S?

Do you do any special recording besides CD's such as live bands or demo recordings?
