I know quite a bit of this, but I don't skate. I know the first trick should either be a manual or an ollie. If you have any questions ask me on here.

Surprisingly i do, or used to  Big grin

It has sort of been 'in and out' since the early 80's, it has always been here but never a craze.

Easiest thing to do is to Manual, really its not a trick. Ollie is quite easy to after a bit of practice, normally takes 2 weeks or so to learn how to do it.

What sort of Deck/Trucks do you have?

I just borrow my son's one, which is a 50-50 board with Destructo trucks.

btw, just call it skating  Big grin

I skate, unfortunately I have been doing it less recently! I hardly think going manual is a trick! I would first get very comfortable skating, be able to keep up with everyone, and not fall off. Then start doing the basics like going down the curb, once you can do that ollieing is real simple! I used to be able to ollie a 4 stack of boards, and ofcourse that is stacking them side ways (not on top of each other!). When our boards got old, we used to take some gas around with us and used to tape doing things like kick flip 4 stairs with our boards on fire, pretty dumb looking back on it!
