Anybody Sleep With A Fan?

Mon May 14, 2001 3:25 am

I need the noise of a fan to put me to sleep. I have had a fan going every night for the past probably 18 years, and I'm 21 now. Somthing about the noise that puts me right to sleep. If I try sleeping without a fan on, I will not fall asleep. If I ever have a night flight, I fall right asleep because the engine sounds like a fan. Weird, anybody else like this?

I sleep with a fan on during the summer as well. Upstairs, it just isnt as cool up there (air conditioning isnt strong enough). During the summer, everyday, and I have the window wide open.

I like to think that Matt, my other half, is a fan (of me), so yeah I like to think I sleep with a fan.

No, although i'd like one because my room is the worst room in the house for climate cause its above the garage and its freezing in winter and hot as heck in summer cause our garage is partially insulated...

I've been doing the same thing for the past seven years. I have trouble sleeping when it is too quiet...weird, eh?

I can only sleep when it is cold, so either I turn the a/c down low or use a fan.

Blink,

I am the same way...Winter is perfect here for that...but summer is a sleeping nightmare for me...for noise I just turn my radio on (Y-100, 100.3 FM, Philly's #1 New Alternative) and use the sleep function...

I love it when its cold, for some reason being so warm in bed. Now we have double glazing and its warm all year round. I have the radio or CD on to get me to sleep, it helps to drown out the noise of my computer which is on all night.

I sleep with many fans, at the same time. They love me soooo much  Love

Few years ago I slept with my fan. She really liked me so we had sex together.

My dorm room was not air conditioned, so I had my fan on during the year. Now I am at home, and I do not mind the sound of the fan at all.

I usually sleep right beside my RB.211 Rolls Royce fan!

It makes a nice humming noise all night!! It takes up most of the bed, but I don't mind!!

I usually have a fan on at night to help me sleep. Something about the noise and wind. But I've had to get used to not having one for this semester away because I didn't want to buy one here.

I almost have to have some sort of white noise to allow me to fall asleep. Plus, I can't sleep if it is warmer then 20 degrees C. So I have my A/C on high all times of the year!!! (Even in the winter!!!)

My apartment gets uncomfortably warm, especially in the summer. Winter's okay, as they can be bitterly cold at times. Air circulation in my apartment building is not good, so I have a window fan. I keep the fan going for as much as possible, especially at night since I can't sleep as well if it's too warm in there. Luckily, Edmonton's summers aren't too hot and summer nights there are often on the cool side so I don't even need air conditioning.

Oh, hell yeah I sleep with a fan. I love the noise of box fans, personally. I got one on the floor that I'm always tripping over, but it's my best friend at night. (Not in that way. Wink/being sarcastic )

You would have to be insane to sleep without a fan or air-conditioning here in summer. In winter, all of us have to have our fans on, otherwise we cannot sleep without the noise. (Just turn it away from us directly.)
