HOMEMADE chicken noodle soup. Homemade noodles, fresh veggies, fresh chicken, etc. I can't stand canned, condensed soups...

Homemade all the way.

Chinese Sweet Corn Veg/Non Veg. decent.

Also simple Tomato soup with the nice fresh bread served on the train.

Yook gae jang - my apologies to Koreans for probably not transliterating it properly but every restaurant I've ever eaten it at transliterates it differently anyway. The tastiest beef hotpot (maybe shouldn't call it a soup but it is sort of) with lots of chilli...line it up with radish kim chi and a few namul and its heaven...

real Boston Clam Chowda. Only served properly in Boston, which is a major problem for me as it is too far away to regularly go there (so if someone can send me some cans  Smile ).
Missing that, I just love pea soup.

Tortilla. Tastes even better with grilled cheese sandwiches to dip in it.

New England Clam Chowder. As Jwenting already pointed out, it is only served correctly in Massachusetts and Maine, where the clams are fresh from the ocean.

Just remember: Clam chowder does NOT have tomatoes in it!

Animal crackers in my soup
Monkeys and tigers loop-the-loop
Gosh oh gee, but I have fun
Swallowing animals one by one

In every bowl of soup I see
Lions and tigers watching me
I make 'em jump right through the hoop
Animal crackers in my soup!

Something like that Big grin

Cullen Skink; a Scottish creation with smoked haddock and potatoes. You can buy it in Waitrose (UK supermarket chain) but the best I know of is served at The Crannog restaurant in Fort William, Scotland.
