hi everybody..im interested in becoming an atc in the UK...what qualifications/strengths do i need?

Most ATC organisations are always looking for candidates. Just give them a call and ask, they probably have glossy brochures and/or people explaining everything quite well.
From what I hear you need:
1) good hearing
2) excellent control of English language
3) extremely resistant to stress
4) finish tough inhouse training

You will also need :
-good eyesight
-good ability to remember things
I might be able to tell you a bit better in fall. In the end of October I'll be doing a internship with the German ATC.
