Dates To The Airport

Tue Jun 26, 2001 1:50 am

Ok guys....how many of you have been this lucky?

I recently met a girl-named Roxanne-who, as it turns out also loves airplanes like I do. She doesn't know the types or the airlines yet (but I'll get her trained), but she loves going to the airport and watching them and taking trips. She's an airliner enthusiasts dream come true.
So yesterday, she wanted to go on a date-to LAX!!!!!!
She packed a nice picnic style lunch for us. I picked her up at her apartment, and we drove out to LAX. We set up some portable chairs and a little table on the grassy field next to the In-N-Out just north of the threshold for rwys 24 L/R.

And that's where we had our date. As we ate the turkey sandwiches she made, we talked about a bunch of different things while the Boeings, Airbuses and MDD's flew about 100 feet above our heads. I also showed her all of my photo albums-which she loved. Her favorite airline now is Frontier-because of the animals on the tails. She also loves animals. So, whenever we go somewhere, we have to take Frontier!

She was so awestruck at the beauty and livery of the Aer Lingus A330, that as soon as it passed, she leaned over and jammed her tongue down my throat.

She also wants me to take her to Las Vegas. Not to gamble or get married in a drive-through wedding chapel, but to see the spots where I took all of my LAS plane pix and do some a/c watching there too. She also wants to accompany me on a photo shoot because she wants to start doing that now, and she wants to see how I do it.

Is this a dream come true or what?

If you can get her into reel to reel tapes, then that will really be a dream come true.  Big thumbs up

I went out with a girl who was really into airplanes but she kept talking about her ex-boyfriend. As you may know who she is (RealHigh).

Oh well, it would have been nice.  Smile

Matt - good for you, and good luck. Let her know that your "fuselage" can come out of the hanger when needed.

Congratulations, Matt, now don't let that opportunity let go, and take some Peptobismol before dates  Big thumbs up
Money does not bring you happiness. But it's better to cry in your own private limo than on a cold bus stop.

I think I'll retract what I previously posted, he's probably lying anyway, that's what I think after reading about his waitress ordeal.

There are more of us women into aviation than you think.  Smile
Matt D, you'd be advised to not let her come near Airliners.net! Big grin
I am sure she'd really be impressed with your 'Matt Sucks Again' or 'I Feel So Smug' threads.  Big grin
