They are already to "U" in hurricane names. In the U.S. we rarely make it to the "U" mark. Guess i never realized how busy the eastern pacific is in terms of tropical activity.

Hope you use a good development shop. I've used the same shop now for about 6 years, two of my friends also use the same shop now for their aviation pics !!

Hkgspotter1,

You saw me on the bus this morning? Where were you? I don't recall seeing you at that bus stop outside your building. Or did you saw me from inside your bus?

Oh, by the way, that was the latest review on the Nikon D1x that I was reading. Really cool features and functions! Ooooooh, if only the prices could be more reasonable............. Big grin

Delta15 - since last year, we aren't following the old list anymore. In the old list the first letters of the names of the typhoons are in alphabetical order. In the new list, we are using names supplied by different countries within the Northwest Pacific area. We've got quite a lot of funny (and annoying) names like Durian (the one that hit HKG a few days ago) and even Kai-tak (we used that one last year).

You'd think for the most severe typhoon in 20 years they could get a tougher name than Utor... Utor is that scrany little guy who fixes the copier and keeps the coffee fresh. You need some sort of tough sounding name, like Typhoon Rosco... big tough burly steel worker. Arms like tree trunks and a mouth like a sailor. hmmm...

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Utor supplied by the US meaning squall?

Landed at CLK at around 20:30 on 5th July on China Southwest! It had been signal 8 for around an hour, my first landing on an 8!
