“Discounts for age 65 and over only”
“Ladies get in for free”
“Handicapped parking only”
“First Class passengers board first”
These are just a few examples of what is wrong with our society, and why we are still so far away from a truly “fair” culture. Let’s call a spade a spade folks. All of the above are, by any and all definitions discrimination, plain and simple. In all cases, certain groups of people are being singled out for who/what they are, while simultaneously singling out everyone else. Why doesn’t anyone complain about these forms of discrimination? I thought that discrimination was a dirty word. What entitles a 67 year old to get 30% off his dinner total simply because he is 67? Why should ladies not have to pay admission? I know of several places that do this-mostly arcades and night clubs. Why should someone with a physical impediment have their own parking spot set aside for them, which sits vacant for 23 hours and 52 minutes out of the day while the rest of us have to circle the lot endlessly because there are no other spaces available, and walk 1184 feet to wherever it is that we are going? Just because someone paid $6700 for their airplane ticket versus $367, does that mean that that person is “better” than everyone else? Why would I/should I be labeled a bigot or discriminatory if I owned a night club, and charged ladies for admission while letting the guys in for free (and you know I would)?
You see where this is going?
No wonder so many people (specifically able bodied white males in their 20’s-50’s are fed up with everyone and a backlash is bound to be imminent now….how would you feel in this society filled with such double standards?)
