Mine is The World Is Not Enough. Although, in the older ones I can see some stuff that Austin Powers kinda "stole" Big grin .... And my favorite Bond: Pierce Brosnan, of course!

Pierce Brosnan. Rumours say that Russel Crowe will take over the James Bond character. What a terrible choce. Just imagine Russel Crowe as a James Bond. Ridiculous.

I just saw on our local (Detroit) Fox 10:00 news that Brosnan will be back for at least 1 more.. I couldn't see Crowe there either.

In my opinion, the original Mr. Bond is the best...Sir Sean Connery.  Wink/being sarcastic All seven of his JB films are in my video library, from "Dr. No" thru "Never Say Never". Regards.

Connery. He had style, yet had a few rough edges that made him menacing. He could kill a woman and get on with business and get away with it.

Second choice is Roger Moore. Much more sophisticated than Connery's Bond, and not as mean, but could deal with the lighthearted side better.

Brosnan is OK. But too much of a "Pretty-Boy". He tries too look menacing, but doesn't quite get there.

George Lazenby was a late-60's attempt at a Brosnan-style pretty-boy Bond. He couldn't act worth a damn however.

The worst of the lot was Timothy Dalton. What a pussy. I don't even think he got laid in his first movie, where they tried to get PC on us.

Russell Crowe as Bond? Interesting concept. I could see him as a rougher, meaner Bond - sort of like Connery.

Favorite Movie?

The ones based on Ian Fleming's stories were the best, I thought. Dr. No was almost exactly from Fleming's book, From Russia with Love was pretty close. They started getting further and further away from Fleming as time moved on, and basically ran out of books (even the short stories) after Octopussy.

I'll put Three favorites
- Live and Let Die
- From Russia with Love
- You only Live Twice

Almost as good are
- The Spy Who Loved Me
- Diamonds Are Forever
- On Her Majesty's Secret Service (would have been at the top if Connery had been in it.)

Sean Connery - "Bond, Jamesh Bond"

Bond Movie Rankings:

Goldfinger - Ah, Pushy...

Live and Let Die - Jane Seymour was HOT! as Solitaire and the best theme song, although the Sheriff was stupid...

From Russia with Love - Rosa Kleb lesbian flirtation...  Big thumbs up

For Your Eyes Only - Blofeld whacked and Tevya kicked ass!!!

The Spy Who Loved Me - Jaws!!!

The World is Not Enough - Two words: Denise Richards...  Love

Dr. No - Screenplay similar to the first book...

You Only Live Twice - Classic James Bond in a "realistic" Japanese disguise ...  Yeah sure

The Man with the Golden Gun - Herv "de plane, de plane" Villechaze...

Thunderball - Tom Jones theme song, need I say more...

A View to a Kill - Christopher Walken as the bad guy, how perfect...

On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Mrs. James Bond...  Wow!

Goldeneye - Nice opening scene...

Tomorrow Never Dies - Elliot Carver's maniacal keyboard tapping...

Octopussy - Best name for a PG rated movie ever...

The Living Daylights - Cool cello case sled...

Diamonds are Forever - Mr. Kidd & Mr. Wint...

Licence to Kill - Uggh, Wayne Newton...

Moonraker - Good: Dr. Holly Goodhead; Bad: The rest of the movie.

Bond 20 set to film in January 2002!

Movie- Tomorrow Never Dies, for its strict adherence to the Bond plot with the addition of Michelle Yeoh.

Actor- Roger Moore. He made light of the worst situations and seemed to rise above the James Bond character rather than overact, which I feel is Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan's failing.

If it can be said logically, Roger Moore's ability to rise above James Bond gave him the most authenticity as the character.

I'd say Sean Connery is number 1 followed close behind by Roger Moore.

I'm still laughing @ Redraider's post. I was wondering if someone was going to mention Octopussy. Nuts Every time I hear that movie is going to be on, I have to wonder how it gets by the censors and other words (some are less vulgar) usually don't.

When I first got into bond years ago I saw "Octopussy" on the box and was thinking, How can they get away with this?!?!?! Good movie though. Jaws is cool too..

My favorite Bond actor is, obviously, Sean Connery.

I don't know which movie is my favorite though. I don't know why everyone likes "You Only Live Twice" so much-- I think its one of the not-great movies. I don't know why, but I like "The Living Daylights" even though the acting isn't great. I guess it is the storyline.

But I am looking forward to Bond 20 which should be released in November 2002. Rumors are that it will be set in Dublin and the new car will be an ASTON MARTIN! We'll see... While we wait, though, the latest Bond book is out: "Never Dream of Dying" has just been released in the US.

Never Dream of Dying is a good book. I like the way that the new author, Raymond Benson, is trying to make Bond more like the Fleming character.
