In the beginning of the summer, it was cool and some occasional rain. Then I left for a trip and came back in June, and it's been hot and dry ever since.

We are in a semi-drought. Hasn't rained in a while. Been hot and NASTY!!! But its cooling off now at night. It fact, its damn chilly. Cold front came through finally, but no storm that usually occurs with it. DAMN! I just planted grass seed right when the drought started. Just my luck!!!  Angry

In the Pittsburgh, It was cold (read: never broke 78F degrees) then I went to Florida in June, came back and it stayed above 90 for a few weeks but now is cold again. Sorta dry here too, but not that bad.

I'm @ the coast of San Diego, Ca and the weather for the past 2 months has been the same as it was for the past 13 months: IT WONT FREAKIN' RAIN!!!!

It's easy to see how democratic god's influence is here, everyone prays for a paradise, majority wins; what a jerk! The people here deserve it, they're stupid. They crash on the freeways when dew or mist gets on them, and then complain that 70-degrees F is cold.

Im in the UK are we are having a decent summer for once and temperatures are 28c which i think is mid 80sF
teh nights have been a bit sticky but its great to have some decent weeks without rain.

We are getting freak weather as well, a few weeks back we have a tornado in rayleigh, essex(home town)(east of england) which is unheard of.Britain never gets tornados and n the space of three weeks has had about ten.

Last week, thursday i remember there was massive hailstones in parts of the east of england that were 6 inches and a few more tornados.

No doubt any minute we will have a cold snap and have snow fall, something we managed to get at easter in april although how on earth we went from 15C to 0C in 2 days i dont know.
It is amazing what can be accomplised when nobody takes the credit

Here in Boston it was seasonable in June, average in part of July, cooler than average the rest. We've had cool days that only got to a high of only 18°C (around 68°F) and then on the hottest day of the year we reached 39°C (102°F). We've had more rain than usual. By this time of the year Eastern Massachusetts is on water restrictions. However due to the rain we have yet to go on restrictions.

All in all, it's been a great summer.

The summer in Pima County, AZ has been 10-15F below normal and very dry. We've only had one or two days above 110 this year. 90-100 in this area is considered a cool day, sort of. We do have a small collection of people that think a snowy location is fit for human habitation. Just kidding. I am a confirmed desert rat who loves the 110 degree heat and 29% humidity. And I hate snow. Perhaps I should say I hate the temperature needed to sustain snow, and I hate shoveling it.

Netherlands extremely variable. Periods of cool rainy days with the occasional hot dry spell when temps run to well over 30C.

Southern, Ca is hot and our local news media think that we are so dumb out here that we need to have them explain to us how to keep cool. We already know to drink plenty of water and stay in the shade, but they make it seem like the high heat is a crisis out here, like we've never had high heat in the LA basin before.

On the other hand, we have had dense mothers leaving their kids in cars (that swell to over 110-120 inside) while they do their shopping. And these mothers can't understand why they get booked on child endangerment charges.

Welcome to sunny Southern Ca.  Smokin cool

Here in Poland we have hot summer, with temperatures about 30 C. We had really nasty floods raging in the southern part of the country.

Its been really nice here, considering we are in the West, we've had surprisingly little rain, and on somedays it has been extremely hot. Another thing is that, although we get storms every year, none have been as potent as this year.

btw. Britain has the highest amount of Tornado's per square mile, its just most are so small, and happen in rural area's we don't hear about it.

Cheers

It has gotten fairly hot here in London (32-33degrees celcius - that's about 90-92 degrees fahrenheit) which is fine apart from the fact that I have to use the underground to get to work every day and the temperature down there has been recorded at 45 degrees celcius (about 115 degrees fahrenheit). Needless to say that ain't fun in a packed carriage wearing a suit! The words 'air conditioning' mean nothing in the UK.

I believe "humidex" is a Canadian term. The US refers to it as the "heat index", n'est-ce-pas?

Still very dry in Southwestern Ontario (Canada)...keeps pretending to rain...but it doesn't...less than 1 mm of rain in the past month!

Did hit 40c one day last week in Toronto...and that's without the humidex!

pant, pant, pant...as redngold says!

Well, Southeastern Michigan has had very little rain over the last two months, and earlier the temperatures were just blazing in the mid 90's with the heat index in the 100's. We finally cooled down and our highs have been about 80F everyday. Still not enough rain.

Yeah, Here in Calgary (Alberta) it has gotten as high as 34-35 degrees celcius . Hasn't rained much either.
We broke a temperature record last week when we hit 33o.

I do not envy you who live in the muggy climates. In AZ when we hit 110F, it is about like 85F where you are.

You can have some rain from us. It rains almost every day here in New Orleans. I was supposed to fly last Saturday and Sunday and got canceled by rain both days.

In Orion, MI (near Auburn hills) it had been rather warm for a while (mid 80's to low 90's) then got REAL HOT for a week or so (hitting over 100) then back down, some 80's, 70's and even some 60's recently.. Been mostly dry, but when it rains, DAMN!!
