Shower Or Bathtub?

Fri Aug 24, 2001 12:35 am

I would imagine that most of us are shower people. But don't underestimate the relaxing effect of a hot bath (not a whirlpool tub). I have recently rediscovered this simple pleasure, and highly recommend it. What do you all think?

I agree!
I take showers everyday but a nice bubble bath is great.
I really enjoy making out in the tub as well. Big grin

I've got a great big tub at home, and I use it frequently. On cold, winter mornings, I take a hot bath instead of a shower; it warms me to the bone.

I even have a couple of tub toys - a submarine and boat that run off of fizzy dye pellets.

I guess I'll never grow up...

That's just a little bit too much information for us!  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

I like either, especially if there is a pretty woman there with me!

MBMBOS,
Be careful with that sub...

When I was a kid I had a toy sub that had a wind-up spring powered propellor. My dad was taking a bath one day and all of a sudden we heard all kinds of shouting and a few other words. My mother ran into the bathroom to find out what had happened. When she came out she was LHAO and went to the kitchen to get a pair of sissors. A few minutes (and a few muffled cries) later my mother comes out of the bathroom with the sissors and my submarine - funny, it had hair wrapped all around the propeller shaft.

To answer your question - Showers almost 100% of the time. But I have a hot tub out on the deck that gets used quite a bit. Ahhh....

I sit in the tub with a shower on until the tub is full, then if I wake up I may use some sope or shampoo...
I can neither confirm, nor deny above post

Well, I have to say I'm very attached to my tub that has a shower hose thing. So I guess you could say I take a sitting shower. Sometimes it's a bath, but who has the time?

To add to the topic my friend has a bathroom the size of my kitchen and dining room combined with a 5 person jacuzzi with Italian marble and they don't even use it.

Flight152, where does your friend live, I'll use it! We've been having water problems again here (a water line or something broke yesterday) and our pressure is very low. Not long ago they cut off our water for over 24 hours and I had to finally go shower at a friend's house. Now one friend of mine's parents just remodeled their bathroom and put in a tub that cost about $15,000. I'm dying to see what a tub that costs that much look like!

I like coming home to a nice bubble-bath after a night of Belly Dancing.

I will sometimes take a bath to relax, but for cleanliness, I only feel clean after a shower.
I also do the sit in tub with shower on thing. Usually when I'm half asleep.

Off topic, hot tubs are amazing.

I can't wait until it snows so I can roll around in the snow then hop in the tub! Mmm...
