What's Your Own Favorite Photo On A.net?

Tue Sep 04, 2001 5:16 am

Dear All,

Just out of curiousity. I'm sure you are all proud of the photos that you have on airliners.net. So which one of the photos that you have on the database is your favorite?

I'm certainly not one to talk, as I have had many rejected...but I have had three accepted! Yay. Of those three, this one is my favorite

best, the last because I have rather fond memories of when I shot it (the shot itself is not the best, made it mostly because of rarity).

Laugh out loud Well that was my first spotting experience at SLC.
What was REALLY neat though was seeing WinAir at the gate at the A terminal. Watched the 737 push back and take off, never knowing I would never see that airline again...ever.  Sad

I have some very excellent photos from that visit to SLC, however, most of them were rejected because of poor scan quality.

I would try again, but I semm to have misplaced them!! Big grin

I DO have surplus (unscanned) photos from my trip to SAN and LAX. Soem of which are also very nice. But I have yet to attempt to upload them.

I have a very nice photo of a National 757 and a Legend DC-9 to add to the collection of Defuct and soon-defunct airlines. Big grin

The best thing though was seeing a Singapore 747-400 taxi past the Delta concourse, whcih I have an excellent shot of, and a 727 nosing up to the gate (which I flew on) of Delta Air Lines.

God I will miss the 722s, that was the best lfight I ever had.  Sad

You will have an easier time getting your photos on a.net if they are defunct airlines. The only reason I got my photos on was because of the rarity of the shot. If it was just another standard United 757 or what not, it would never get on.
