Fri Sep 21, 2001 10:57 am

When I saw these stats, it just goes to show that this wasn't just an attack on the United States, but should be considered an attack against the free world. I hope this doesn't depress anyone, but I'm doing it to get to a point.

Tzvika,

Mate, everyone around the world has been affected by this. This has hit us hard in Australia and has reminded everyone how vulnerable we all are to acts of terrorism.

That is why Australia was one of the first countries to immediately back the US on any retaliatory strike. Add to that our Prime Minister was in Washington at the time of the attacks. In my industry (finance) here in Sydney it has been particularly felt, most of us know of or personally know people (and Australians) who live in NYC. One of my friends is currently on the missing list, so it's a waiting game that gets grimmer by the day.
