Yeah, I was just about to make a post about it. Anyway, please go ahead and try it out, I'm sure you'll find bugs that needs to be fixed.

This is the first step of making the registered user feature bigger than just for posting in the forum. Ones this works and is implemented correctly, it will add a new dimensions to the user profile. I also intend to put "add to photo album" links beside each photo in the database for easy inclusions as well as have a daily "User album" on the frontpage and lots more...

Please try it out and suggest improvements and such.

Thanks,
Johan

Johan, an idea would be to add the number of photos in the album next to the name of it.

Great stuff! Sounds like a neat feature. I will have to take some time this week and hunt down my favorite photos! I can picture them, I just have to find them in the database. Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Johan, before you did that, why can't you creat a signature option? I bet the script would be 10x as easy as the photoalbum?

Just my 2 cents....

If there were a way to preserve the order of the pictures as entered that would be great.

My photo album is ready guys!  Smile Just to let you know I tried to put the aircraft and airlines/livery in order of when I flew (or will very shortly fly) on them, but they came out scrambled, you read my mind Mls515.

Lubcha132- Yes, I learned the phrase cool beans from my friend in Annapolis (unfortunately I fell out of contact with her)

Would it be possible for each photo to have a user comments thing for it?

Johan, why not add a signature script? Or you couled follow the format of these forums: http://forums.zolknetwork.com. I know the owner and I could help you get some UBB code.

A good example 9V-SVA to why I am a bit skeptical to adding a signature feature. Look what it made to the forum you refereed to, for instance this thread:
http://www.zolknetwork.com/forums/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=002810

Every user seems to have a huge signature with photos and links that makes the discussions very hard to follow. Not to mention the time it must take to download such a thread for a user on a modem.

Glad to hear you guys like the new photo album feature though. I'll see if it's possible to preserve the order of the photos.

Johan - but you can control teh max size of a signature - ie. no more than two lines, and no more than 1kbyte in pics

SUGGESTION FOR JOHAN:

If the user is a photographer in the database, have a automatic link in the user's profile to the Photo database search which will show ALL photos by that particular photographer.

Yeah I would like it if users would be able to make comments next to each of their photos. Signatures i agree are not that important. In that thread you linked too, the entire thread is about each other's sigs.
