Legitimate Proposals On Field Propulsion?

Sat Oct 06, 2001 9:48 am

Once in a while I do searches on many engines looking to see if someone is trying new things in terms of space propulsion - there aren't any - or they aren't being funded because of egocentric physicists who refuse to think out side the box.[Einstien is not God, okay?  Smile]

Technically/feasibly/economically why aren't we going forward and leave these chemical burners behind? I had an idea a few months back if you're interested, I donno, whacha think about all this?

What is your idea for propulsion? I've always been very interested in solar power.

NASA is already looking at that stuff:

And this guy made an engine that runs on carbon dioxide:

Companies are nervous to use new kinds of propulsion, so they just use things that are already proven.

Needless to say, you wouldn't have to worry about money anymore if you invented an engine that used new kinds of propulsion.

I like Solar power too, in 1996 I drew up a design for a solar electric supersonic aircraft named SESA.

I kept the project quiet for obvious reasons.

I heard from some scientist that NASA was already working on a variant of my own space propultion idea, so I guess getting a patent would lead to lawsuits.

I temporarily lost the disk that I saved the only copy of my idea so I'll get back to you on this one. Big grin
