Modem Question

Wed Oct 24, 2001 9:22 am

Last week, our modem driver disappeared and our computer cannot access it anymore. The problem is that it is used and did not come with the software. I've searched throught the Win98 CD for a driver and it could not identify anything. We don't know the company name so when we had it before, it was recognized as "Standard Modem Driver"

Is there one available on the net? Because in the last week, I couldn't find one. Any Help is good.

Would it help to know that we have a 33.6 modem?

Ok
First of all if you can open you computer, remove the modem. Somewhere in the modem, there would be Manufacturer and Model.
Then put the modem on the PC and restart you computer.
Go to the internet and search for the drivers depending the model and manufacturer.

Hope it help's you

It did help, it turned out to be a Rockwell 33.6, and now I'm online again after a 8-day absense!

Thanks to all.  Smile
