NY Mayor Race Neck-and-Neck!

Wed Nov 07, 2001 2:12 pm

It looks like the New York City mayoral race is coming down to the wire...with most of the votes counted, both Green and Bloomberg have 49% of the vote.

There is talk of the 35000+ absentee ballots that will be counted by Nov. 15 deciding this election.

What does everyone think? Who's the best candidate?

Just wondering, Im really curious
Does America make such a big deal over every mayor race, or only in certain cities? or is it because of sept. 11?

I believe it is a combination of NYC being our largest city, the September 11th tragedy and the fact that current Mayor Rudolph Giulianni has become so well known and respected outside of NYC because of his leadership during this tragedy.

Everyone knows who the mayor of NYC is (Giulianni) and everyone knows Chicago's mayor is Daley but other than that, no one knows any other mayors in the USA. Except maybe that crackhead in DC.
