How About Some Movie Trivia

Sun Nov 11, 2001 11:29 am

Here's a good movie trivia question for ya....

After answering, if you please, post a new movie (or TV) question that you hope will stump this amazingly intelligent panel of thousands of Airliners.net users.
[Did I kiss enough rear-end to keep this thread going for more than 25 posts? Good... Smile/happy/getting dizzy Smile/happy/getting dizzy]

Let's go...........

>> Who was originally slated to star in the 1984 blockbuster motion picture, "The Terminator", before Arnold Schwarzenegger was signed to play the lead role?

O.J. Simpson is correct!

Very good....thought that might take a while.

Producers of Terminator said at the time (1984) that O.J. was too much of a popular hero, super nice guy, and family man to be believable in the character that Schwarzenegger finally portrayed.

Sounds ironic now, eh?

Addendum to O.J. answer..........

I stand corrected (partially). Yes, Lance Henriksen was also a contender for the role. But from the web pages I've dug up, it appears that OJ was just as much a "contender" for the role early on in casting as Henriksen. So, flip a coin.

Have no idea about the "Holy Grail" question but I'll post one of my own.

What type of aircraft starred in the movie "No Highway in the Sky"? Real and fictional names.

Well....Holy Grail Q: No idea.

But I loved No Highway in the Sky w/J. Stewart (1951)!! Great great film.

Fictional plane was: The Reindeer (which Jimmy was testing for metal fatigue remember).
Real plane: ????

OK ..... Let's try another....

Here's a pretty good one that should have some of you guessing for a while (and maybe running to get the video).........

In 1960's "Psycho", what is the name of the newspaper used by Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) to conceal the money she stole?
And: How much money did she hide in this paper while she was staying at the ultra-comfortable and friendly "Bates Motel" ??

That's one of the best scenes in the whole movie!

"ZOOT: Oh, I am afraid our life must seem very dull and quiet compared to yours. We are but eight score young blondes and brunettes, all between sixteen and nineteen and a half, cut off in this castle with no one to protect us! Oh, it is a lonely life - bathing, dressing, undressing, making exciting underwear....We are just not used to handsome knights. Nay, nay, come, come, you may lie here. Oh, but you are wounded!"

And don't forget my Psycho post above!!

Lax are you comfortable it's a long story but here we go.

A Pheochromocytoma is a tumor of the Adrenal Medula (A bad thing).. Well back in 1987 while having a surgical removal of another tumor this tumor decided to show itself by .. well by trying to kill me, So I was as they say "Coded" in the OR and woke up 3 days later on vent' with a temp of 106. So thus i-had-a pheo. The "Pheo" is related to my also having Neurofibromatosis (No elephant man jokes please) as does my 11 month old daughter. I had to then have my right adrenal gland removed (again a bad thing). So in reality I am not 38 (Born in 62) but 14, I know that makes me one of those kiddies on here .

Hope your still awake after my history

I won't ruin the fun for everyone else, so I'll just answer it this way same name as A former Buffalo Bills defence player with initals of H. J.. On a Vertigo star note (NO note the kind od star note as in US paper money) bDid ya ever see Kim Novak in Bell, Book and Candle.... and to eliminate the next trivia question James stewart was her co-star in both Vertigo and Bell,Book and Candle
