Just interested in hearing your opinions.

When I'm in Vegas I usually stay at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club Resort located in the Flamingo Hilton property. It's basically a timeshare but can also be rented.

I enjoy Las Vegas not for the gambling but for the buffets.  Big grin

Mandalay Bay by far. It is a very nice and classy hotel with the most amazing grounds you have ever seen. I can't gamble yet... at least not legally, so I can't comment from experience. But they are said to have some of the best tables in Vegas. For us flying nuts one side overlooks the airport, so that's a plus. The restaurants are also outstanding, although since it is an upscale hotel expect at least $30 a plate. But you can take a tram over to another hotel if you want a cheap dinner. They also have the most revealing clothes for the cocktail waitresses on the strip. Big grin

I stayed at the Bellagio but it was nice but a little snobby. A lot of celebs stay there. I saw Kevin Costner. I liked the Mirage and the Venitian. The was not that nad though. Those 3 are probably the best.

The Bellagio is very snobby, they actually screen your dress before entering and then have employees sweeping floors wearing jeans.

In my opinion, a room facing the airport in the main building of the Luxor.
Sometimes I go about in pity for myself and all the while a great wind carries me across the sky.

I stayed at the Stratosphere Tower the first time I went. It was great! Cool room, great view, and the rides on top of the tower are excellent! You can see everything from up there.

The second time I went, I stayed in the MGM Grand. It was a pretty nice hotel, but the stay wasn't very pleasnt. We did have a great view of the airport though. (The MGM parking garage has a GREAT view of LAS also.) Big thumbs up

I wouldn't mind staying at the Luxor, Treasure Island, Vinetian, Aladdin or Mandalay Bay.

I was wondering about this, but do you guys know that the WTC was not part of the facade of the NY NY hotel in Vegas. I was surprised. Glad is not on there anyways, since it would bring too much melancholy. Check this out:

I noticed that, but I never thought much of it until recently when I saw the hotel on a TV show.

Just got back from Vegas Monday.

I like the Venetian for accommodations, and the MGM Grand for gambling. Paris is also nice.

Have been to Vegas a few times & have stayed at NYNY, Monte Carlo & Tropicana. I've also visited friends at Treasure Island, MGM Grand and the Flamingo Hilton. I thought NYNY was the best. The rooms and casinos are all fairly similar from hotel to hotel, but it is the service and the theme / atmosphere and service that sets them apart. The overall design of the NYNY complex was outstanding, especially the 'mini New York' inside where most of the hotel shops & restaurants are. The service was great. They have an amazing rollercoaster for those who are into that! Would thoroughly recommend it.

Also, when I was last there 2-3 weeks ago, there were informal tributes to the NYPD and FDNY officers who lost their lives on the corner outside NYNY. A lot of messages, cards and T-Shirts, signs, flowers etc - quite a sight.

For hotel rooms, nothing beats the accomodations at the Venetians. Great rooms (every single one is a suite), at excellent prices. Service is friendly, and overall quality is five stars.

For gambling, the Mandalay Bay is the place to go, so I've heard.

For shopping, the best place is the Venetian and Alladin, with two large indoor shopping centers. Yet you don't feel crowded, because they have superb designs.

For dining, the Venetian tops them all, with a large variety of international cuisine (delicious real Mexican food) and cheaper, fast food type restaurants.

For fun and games, Excalibur is the place to go. With the great family fun center downstairs, at a reasonable price, you can have tons of fun. Also, they have a great Medival jousting show, with great food.

For airport views, nothing tops the Luxor, with an unobstructed view of the airport from the side of the pyramid which faces it.

Overall, Venetian tops them all in my opinion, overall just a splendid, well designed, beautiful hotel.

Hope I didn't miss anything.

I stayed at Stratosphere which was pretty good, near the convention center which was important for that trip.

When I turn 21, next year, I'll probably stay at the Mirage.
