Audiophile Question

I was wondering what does it mean when a subwoofer is omni-directional and how can you tell it is?Thanks alot.

It means that the sub woffer does not need to be placed in any certain position relative to the speakers. There is no place at which it sounds best. Basically, if the "woffer" is on the bottom of the casing, it is omni-directional. If it is on a side, then it isn't. There are other factors, but that is a general thing, and an easy way to tell.
