Virus Scanner Question

Tue Nov 27, 2001 12:36 am

Hey all,
I am using Norton Antivirus 2001 v.7

My question is why is it that I do a complete virus scan of my computer, fix all the bugs, and then when I go to open a program it says there's an infected file and it needs to be fixed. Why doesn't the full virus scan pick this up? How can I rid my computer of ALL viruses/clean the infected files?

Thanks for your help,

different scan parameters, probably.
Full scan usually scans only executable files (exe, com, dll, ocx, etc.), while the realtime scan often checks all files.
I wish I were flying
