Need A Gag Gift. Any Suggestions?

Tue Nov 27, 2001 1:05 am

I have a hristmas party coming up where we are going to have a gift exchange. I want to get something really cheesy, off the wall, and totally useless. I don't want anything crass, rude, or offensive. Just something that, when opened, the recipient will have that "Why me? What the deuce am I going to do with this?" look.

Last year, I got an Elvis poster and a box of assorted jams and jellies from Hickory Farms.

But I just can't think of anything good this year.

Any suggestions? remember, it has to be totally useless, non-offensive, and cost under $30.

The Clapper.
Chia Pet.
One of those ridiculous inflatable NFL chairs. Oh wait, those pieces of turd are 4 easy payments of $19.99.
84lb fruit cake.
Soft core porn.
Pet toys for a pet the recipient doesn't own.
Cataract sunglasses.
Giant underwear.
Whatever you give, act offended when they mock it. Pretend that you meant it as a sincere gift.
Mindless drifter on the road, Carries such an easy load

Possibly the best gag gift I have ever seen: A series of Richard Simmons videos.

Matt D, is it a blind gift exchange or do you have a 'victim' in mind. Can you share his/her personality a bit? That might help.

It's a "blind" exchange. I don't have a particular victim in mind.

Get one of those golf balls that when you hit it, it goes in like many different directions or flies back towards you. I got one for my brother-in-law when I was in San Diego and he got a good laugh at it!

I would have to go with the Chia Pet. It's definitely useless.
Its better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than be in the air wishing you were on the ground. Fly safe!

Definitely a Chia Pet. Either that or a salad shooter.
