Weapons Used On Afghanistan. (Counts As Grade)

Fri Nov 30, 2001 10:20 am

Hello A.net forum users,

Today our teacher gave me a project do to for my AP. history course to present to the soph. class about the weapons and technology being used on Afghanistan by America and their alli's. Please be serious, I have to present this to 450 kids tomorrow all by myself and she just gave me this project to do today, so I don't want to look like a fool in front of the whole soph. class. And this counts as a huge grade for me!

Thanks in advance.

And as always,

And I would search, but I am going crazy right now looking at the boeing websites and such.

174, don't forget one of the most impressive weapons in our arsenal....

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I read the minute the leaflets proclaiming 25 million for bin Laden came showering down, Afghan men loaded up their trucks and horses and headed for the hills......hunting season is on

Just to clear things up, the F-15A-D, the F-16, RAF Tornadoes, and USMC F-18's haven't been used. Other platforms that have been used in Afghanistan include The E-3 Sentry, MH-47 Chinook, HH/MH-60G Black (Pave) Hawk, CH/MH-53J Super Stallion/Pave Low, MC-130E/H Combat Talon, CH-46, and the RQ-1 Predator. Also possible: E-8C (J-STARS), RC-135 Rivet Joint.

No search was needed to find those links, they are all right on the front page of the Military Forum.

Anyways, hope it helps.

Do the Rangers really carry 3 main weapons. I could see maybe the M4 and the M24. But the MP5 for CQB im assuming seems like a lot of gear. Instead i would expect more like what the seals do. Maybe 2 MP5 for CQB. two designated snipers and a machine gunner. And the rest with M4's. They would work as a team instad of one guy using three different weapons.

The two at the bottom right are probally interchangable with the M4 but I am not sure.

F-16s are bring used, my friend talked to one at the Dubai airshow, he couldn't bring his modern F-16 (they brought a gaurd block 30 instead) because its had to be equiped with the ECM equipment for the fighting.

AC-130s are bring used along with the spec ops version of it.

Oh even though CNN is showing fottage of the maverick we aren't using those anymore.
At worst, you screw up and die.
