I'm Sick Of It

Fri Nov 30, 2001 3:40 pm

I am just sick of having to hear about attack after attack on innocent Jews in Israel lately. And I'm also dismayed at how the press is reporting this all.

Remember the two shootings on Israeli civilians a couple days ago? The press barely reported on the story and when it DID have a story, it was well below the fold and had headlines like "Two Jews reportedly killed by gunfire," as to say Jews aren't killed, just reportedly killed. I guess some people do not value Jewish blood as highly as the rest of the world's.

And the papers are making the Palestinians sound sooooo innocent. The Washington Post was saying that X many Israelis had been killed and X many Palestinians had been killed this week. No, the Palestinians were not killed, they were the KILLERS and were, thankfully, shot dead on the spot!

The real innocent people were the ones that were minding their own business when some cowards opened fire on them or blew them up.

Two shootings into crowds of Israelis in one day, killing something like three or four, injuring scores. Then another coward with explosives strapped to his body boards a bus and kills three to four more people there. Arafat's terrorist organization took responsibility for at least one of the shootings (that I have read) and other organizations have taken responsibility for the others.

When will these organizations stop terrorizing the people and displaying their pure hatred for Israel? Do these evildoers really deserve their own state? At this stage, I don't think so.

We're all sick of hearing about Jewish stories, it's about time to move on... whenever I see something on the news, it's like : what else is new? They're always fighting. Accept it.

What other people think of you is none of your business!

Well, "reportedley killed" is used when there is no way to independantly confirm a report...for example a few weeks ago the newswires were saying that "Mazar-e-Sharif had reportedly fallen" because their own journalists were not in the area. Otherwise the news service is on the hook if it is later proved false.

Neither side in the Israeli-Palestinian dispute is inncoent, both have engaged in horrible acts of terrorism, not just one side.

Taken from Yahoo News:

JERUSALEM (AP) - In 14 months of violence, 773 people have been killed on the Palestinian side and 201 people on the Israeli side.

I am not surprised at what the Palestineans are doing after looking at difference in death toll.

I agree with the "Neither side...is innocent", as for the rest, should I even bother?

Pain is not cumulative. If one person feels X amount of pain, the total amount of pain felt is X. If a hundred feel X amount of pain, still only X amount is felt. Nobody is feeling 100X amount of pain. So the amount of deaths doesn't factor into the equation. The only thing that should be involved in the question is who is right and who is wrong, not body counts. As to who is right? I'm sure no one but God knows in each of the 974 deaths.

newspapers don't make ANY difference between a killed terrorist and his innocent victims.
the suicide attack against a bus the other day has made "4 victims, including the bomb carrier".
there have been over 100 suicide attacks in Israel since September 2000; of course these subhuman terrorists are also part of the Palestinians' victims list...
nobody realizes nor want to realize what it does mean to live in a constant state of war and fear; there are daily burials of youg people in Israel, who were assassinated while walking in the streets, while riding a bus, or while eating in a restaurant.

Here's an article of today's inernet edition of the Jerusalem Post, giving an illustration of what is going on in Israel, it is very depressing:

"Name of third bombing victim still not released

The name of the third victim of last night's suicide bus bombing near Pardess Hanna has still not been released, because police have not yet been able to notify the family, Israel Radio reported.

The victim is a man, 45, who lived in Kfar Saba.

In Zichron Ya'acov, bombing victim Inbal Weiss, 22, was laid to rest this afternoon.

Victim Alshadel Khayeb, 28, was buried in the Yarkon Cemetery.

At the Givat Shaul Military Cemetery, St.-Sgt. Yaron Pikholtz, 20, who was killed by terrorists last night at a roadblock in Baka al-Sharkiya, was laid to rest.

At Moshav Ramat Zvi in the Lower Galilee, Noam Guzovsky, 23, who was killed Tuesday in the terrorist attack in Afula, was buried. His funeral had been delayed to allow his brother to return from abroad.

The question is neither who's more to blame, nor whose brand of suffering is worse than the other. The question is how can peace be brought to two groups who do not seem to be serious about doing what it takes to put an end to over 50 years of conflict.

The never ending, depressing cycle of violence perpetrated by both parties is what I am sick of.

Maybe it would be a good idea not to kick explosive things that can kill you?

Not many kids know what a tank shell looks like.

I'm even more sick now.

The cowards. It is all Arafat's doing. I can't wait until the military rolls...
