Wow, what a rotten game. Both teams played absolutely miserable, especially the Bears offense. The only reason they won the game was because their defense came through for them.
There were dropped balls left and right, stagnant offense on both sides of the field, stupid penalties all around the game, and missed field goals galore!
Detroit has fallen to 0-11 with this 13-10 loss to the Bears, who rise to 9-2. Paul Edinger missed a crucial field goal which would have given the Bears a 16-10 lead with a little more than 2:00 to go in the fourth quarter. The Lions steadily marched their way up the field guided by rookie QB Hanson, who was in the game due to a Batch injury. Yet the Lions kicker Hanson missed his third field goal of the day, kicking it wide right, and that was the game.
Hanson kicked 1-4 FG, and Edinger kicked 2-3 FG, which was a miserable 3-7 combined FG stats for the game.
Someone's going to get fired in the offseason...cough cough.
