I'm using this procesor. I installed it some time ago, when I had pentium 3. There's almost no difference with it (except the cost! ), but if you're having pentium 2, then you could find a substantial difference.
I am using it. Just got it 2 months ago on my new 1.5ghz PC. Overall, compared to my old 233mhz PC, I am kind of dissapointed. There wasn't the difference I was expecting, even between Win 95 and Win ME.

Its fantastic... I love it. Just upgraded my 1.5Ghz to Win XP.
Teaham: I wasn't impressed with Windows ME. It is probably the most unstable of any Windows. Plus, it uses a lot of system resources. When I booted my computer with ME, I only had about 72% Free resources, now, with XP, they are up in the 90's. Upgrade to XP, and you'll find your computer runs a lot better.
Works great. You may want a machine taking SDRAM instead of the new RAMbus, as the latter is about s as expensive (you can get 1GB of PC133 RAM for under $200, the same amount of RAMBus RAM costs up to $1000). There is a small performance penalty, but the processorperformance makes good for that.
Thanks for all the imput guys.........I am also getting a new graphics card (I forgot the name of it), cause I was told the one I have now (graphics blaster RIVA TNT) is not compatible with the Pentium 4
