About Posting Press Releases (to Admin)

Fri Dec 21, 2001 11:09 pm

Hello

I really dont see the point in posting press releases. If somebody wants to get news he or she may get it themselves. Also we are infringing copyrights by posting press releases. Therefore i suggest that we stop posting them in the forums and keep it too discussions.

Thanks
Tom

I suggest Johan deletes your username and then you will just watch the forums not participating in them! Good idea huh?

Yeah, then after you get deleted, you can read up on the reasons why press releases are issued. Press releases are copyrighted, meaning you can't reproduce them and pass it off as your own work. Companies issue press releases for a reason: to get publicity and urge news outlets to run a story about them. The more people who see it, the happier they are.

That's why we credit them to the newspaper, reuters, or whover produced it.
