X-Rated Comments?

Fri Dec 28, 2001 2:59 pm

Have you heard the comments the governemnt has said about bin Laden, etc.?

When Bush was asked whether he would like Osama killed or imprisoned, he relplied:

"It doesn't matter"

When Powell was asked "what kind of justice should bin Laden receive?", he replied:

"If a 500 pound bomb falls on his head, that is justice in my opinion"

On September 11, General Shelton (Ret.) said "make no mistake your armed forces are ready".

And don't forget, "There's an Old Wild West poster that said 'Wanted Dead or Alive'"-Bush

Is it just me or do you think this is some strong language?

I've never seen the government say things like this before. This is a big change from "It depends on what the meaning of is, is"

Finally we have a few politicians who say what's on their minds and even sometimes show a sense of humor. The usual diplomatic language is all flowery and no substance - don't offend anyone, and don't take any position.

I'm sick and tired of Political correctness Osama gets what he deserves. The ACLU crap left with Clinton. Speaking of ACLU I wonder how their defending of NAMBLA is going  Insane If you want diplmacy go to the UN. The White House has had 8 years of it as is. Good thing Bush Jr kept his promise and gave the House a good scrubbing. You can no longer see any PC left

It's called candor. It is something we did not see in the 8 long years of Clintonian obfuscation (look it up).

VonRichtofen, the ACLU is the American Civil Liberties Union. It is a group that is supposed to a civil-rights watchdog group that represent the regular guy. The only problem with them is they are a left-wing group that pick their battles. Once in a while they pick token fights to appear balanced, but it doesn't work.

NAMBLA is the North American Man-Boy Love Association (something like that). They are a organization for pedophiles (I'm not kidding).

W is a man of the people. He says what's on his mind. No double-speak and no PC crap. I find it remarkably refreshing.

As for ligering comments about his intelligence, he has a Masters degree and is actually a self-made millionaire. Much of his personal net worth was built up without financial help from his family. All members of Anet should be so intelligent.

I think this kind of talk is needed. THIS IS A MAJOR DISASTER! Millions loosing jobs, thousands die, a war by terrorists, on America. This is no conventional war, as we all know, since terrorists are as far away as Australia, and as close as Washington DC.

I agree with you all... he is the most down to earth president we've had in a long time. It is really nice to have straight talk coming from the executive branch instead of the double talk we have had.

While I woudn't call them "X-rated" comments, they are exactly what we need to get things done and get our point across crystal clear.

If anyone doesn't like that, well too bad.

And as for the ACLU and NAMBLA... I think I'll vomit....

Is that what NAMBLA stands for seriously? The former president backed this association? So NAMBLA is an example of lefties concern for criminal's rights over the victims? I gotta pay more attention to American politics!

Kris, it's absolutely true.

In Massachusetts, the American Civil Liberties Union is representing the North American Man-Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) in a civil lawsuit brought by the parents of a 10-year-old boy who was raped and murdered by a NAMBLA member. The ACLU believes that organization has a perfect right to distribute materials that encourage statutory rape (i.e. sex with a child is automatically rape by statute or law). This is a criminal organization! And the ACLU is defending their "freedom" to advocate these kind of activities through their newsletter, which describes the pleasures of having sex with young boys (one of the slogans is "Sex before eight, or else it's too late") including graphic descriptions how to properly "lube up", and how to convincingly lie to the police if you get caught!

The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) was originally created with the noble purpose of ensuring voting rights, the right to free speech and press and other rights described (or implied) in the U.S. Consitution.

But they are going WAY overboard now. Unlike in the 60's or earlier, there simply isn't enough genuine cases of lynchings of black voters, or FBI storming the offices of left-leaning pamphlets. They've had to broaden the horizon in order to keep themselves in the spotlight. They defend things that are undefendable, they say, out of principle.

Check out the ACLU's site. Many of their activities are proper and even admirable. But they are so enamored with the principle that it must fight against any case where government or a group of people tries to stop other people from doing something, even if it is evil and vicious.

I was reading through some of the stuff on there, particularly the forum. There was a HUGE debate about a flag burning amendmant? What's that all about? All the liberals were saying they like to burn flags...bizzare

I couldn't find much on NAMBLA though. I'm surprised they didn't have more stuff on there, I mean it's not like they'd get in trouble or anything being a lefty organization.

I'd prefer to have a less humorus approach in the hunt for that sh*thead.

I, for one, am anrgy at all the destruction and fear that bearded-f*ck is responsible for. When someone is executed on death row, families don't go out for cake and ice cream afterwards. There's usually sadness on both sides of the aisle. The same applies here. Our armed forces are on a mission: to hunt down a group of people, eliminate their ability to incite terror, and present them for judgement of their actions against the U.S. If they want to resist, that's their perogative. But, we should not be running into this with idea of shooting Usama on the spot.

We are talking about going out and killing several people here. If we're able to smile and joke about their deaths, perhaps we should re-examine our motives. Its a difficult situation. I want revenge and justice seems irrelevant. But it isn't.

In short, can the theatrics and tell me what your ideas are for after Afghanistan.
