Who Used To Watch The "A Team"?

Thu Jan 10, 2002 12:04 am

Did anyone here used to watch the A-Team? Personally, its my favourite TV programme of all time and i still watch the classic repeats on TV. I used to love watching the characters playing their roles!

OH yeah  Big thumbs up

There is a show that should have had a longer life.

Too bad todays youth don't have shows like that to watch today.

The only place where you could see guys getting blown out of a 75 foot water tower and walking away!!!

Could never figure out how they were supposed to be former elite soldiers when they were incapable of hitting anyone despite spraying bullets from a machine gun on a regular basis! Big grin

Superfly took the words right out of my mouth.

My parents once told me that when I was a kid I idolized Mr. T. This might be OK if the ages and races were aligned, but here they aren't. Imagine a four year old Filipino kid pretending to by Mr. T... not pretty.

Maybe I've repressed that memory.

On a related note, my parents also embarass me with memories of me dancing like Michael Jackson as a very young kid.

I used to love the scenes towards the end of each episode. The A-Team usually end up getting trapped in an old barn, surrounded by Col. Decker and his army of Military Police.

It's amazing, because there is usually an old tractor and a couple of planks of wood in the barn, and the A-Team manage to get their blow torches out and start building something out of the said items.

Then, the next scene will show what can only be described a a mobile armoured battle platform burst through the barn doors. What was once an old Ford tractor, is now a death machine, bristling with machine gun turrets and other weaponry. The A-Team used to kick the ass off the Military Police too! What a show!

Didn't Mr. T hate flying on airplanes?
He wouldn't fit in here at Airliners.net.

Ah, good times, good times... Haven't watched it in years, though.

"While we're at it, is your idea of an inconspicious vehicle a large black Dodge van with a big red swoosh down the side?"

I thought it was a GMC/Chevy van?  Confused

A-Team featured a privatly owned 707 and a TWA 747-100. The TW 747 was hijacked and they had to take over the plane and land it. I wish i could get a tape of those episodes. I wonder how the rest of the cast is doing? I know Hannable died 5 years ago and Mr T had recovered from Cancer.
