I can't stand them, either. Their slogan "we report, you decide" is so much B.S. They're as biased to the right as some people say that CNN is biased to the left, even more so IMHO.

They may be somewhat biased, but their assertion that no major news network in this country interviews such a broad spectrum of people and entertains such a wide variety of perspectives is absolutely true.

Besides its fun watching their anchors rip to shreds Ralph Nader, Al Jazeera liars, and these human rights bozos.

Kroc needs reasons?

After Sep 11 a lot of Americans decided they wanted to fly flags all over the place. Some employers decided (as is their right) that flags were NOT to be placed on desks. Some woman rang fox and complained so the female ancor at Fox let everyone know who the employer was and what he had done.

Watching her on TV was something that I simply can't describe. The closest I could come to was feral, she was almost frothing at the mouth in anger over this employer who, for reasons that were NEVER investigated, had made a decision in his own work area.

Well, of course, she incited the baser emotions in some people (and remember we are talking about gun toting zealots here when we talk about the baser members of society) and of course, the employer when then intimidated in ways that are totally illegal in my country (and immoral in any country) until he backed down.

Of course, our mouth frothing feral was then crowing about that for quite a while.

Of course, I turned FOXnews off and we don't watch it any more. I can' only hope that she is in the minority in America because if she is an example of "every day Americans", God help us all.

Fox News is a good network, i really cant stand CNN, what pisses off me the most on CNN is that some people at their studios speak bad english and sometimes i cant even understand some words. Plus they are a one sided network, just cant watch it!

So people who advocate human rights are bozos? Jeez, that's one of the most un-American things I've heard on here recently. Granted, some of them are far-Left extremists (and deserve to be called "bozos"), but describing human rights activists "au general" this way is incredibly silly.

Just think where we'd be without the brave men and women; people who dedicated their lives for the cause of human rights, Hoffa. Do I need to remind you that many also gave up their lives to make America what it is today (think of the Civil Rights Movement)? Even today, many human rights activists work around the clock to ensure that America's Bill of Rights (one of the world's proudest human rights documents) is honored. Let's not even mention their work overseas! I hope you did not really mean what you wrote.

As far as Fox News is concerned: Thanks but no thanks! I want my national news to be COMPLETE, OBJECTIVE (well, reasonably so), and INTELLIGENT. When I want to be entertained, I watch Seinfeld or The Simpsons. I couldn't care less what some Bill O'Reilly thinks of a certain issue. I'll make up my own mind, thank you very much.

The problem is these days is with the kids and teens getting their news and information on such unrealistic shows like the Simpsons or the Daily Show or some other program on Comedy Central or WB

I've never seen any CNN anchor/reporter speak "bad English." Some of them speak with rather heavy foreign accents, which may bother you, but are certainly not "bad English." They speak and write the language well, even if their accent is unusual. I'm willing to bet that they know "can't" is not spelled "cant", and that "I" is always capitalized... unlike some person you may know.  Big grin If they are good journalists, working for a GLOBAL news organization, it shouldn't matter what accent they speak with.

BTW, I also don't understand how you can love Fox News, yet complain that CNN is one-sided.

Yes ADG, KROC needs reasons. I'm sorry, but how am I supposed to take a one or two sentence post seriously where dude says he "thinks its probably the worst news channel in the western world"? Okay, if you feel like that, back it up. Thats all I am saying. Nobody else had a problem doing that. I personally never have spent much time watching fox news or CNN for that matter. Usually for the collective reasons posted above.

The reason Fox News is viewed as "Conservative", is because they are one of the few, if only networks that ever has a consevative point of view on the show. Take the other networks. They would almost never have a a point of view from the right on one of their news talk shows. Fox news does have people on the right, but also on the left. Take Alan Colmbs for example. A staunch democrat. Bill O'Reilly constantly has oposing points of views on his program. He himself may have some ideas on the right, but he also believes in some deomcatic ideas. Unlike Rush Limbaugh who ONLY has conservative guests and will defend the Republican party to the end. The only reason Fox news is critisized is because they do entertain and analyze the point of view on the right

Really, Hoffa? 99% of the time I've ever watched them, they have someone with a conservative, or even far-right wing point of view. Rarely do I see anyone on there that might be considered "moderate" or "liberal". Which is why I have to laugh at their slogan.

Fox Cable News = Somewhat sensationalistic conservative news station. Which is good, minus the sensationalistic stuff.

Fox Network News = Super-sensationalistic CRAP.

That is true, LOT, but are they much better off getting their news from an overtly slanted source such as FOX? I have my doubts.

They've never bothered me. In fact, I have a friend who works for the Fox affiliate here in New Orleans.

There is a difference between the FOX affiliates, and FOX News Network. Although I must admit, the FOX affiliate in CLE is the most sesationalist of the four Network news shows here, so I guess that doesn't surprise me.

The reason Fox News is viewed as "Conservative", is because they are one of the few, if only networks that ever has a consevative point of view on the show. Take the other networks. Really, MDCJets? I seem to recall Pat Buchanan, whom you can't get more to the right than, being a regular on CNN. And Robert Novak isn't exactly moderate on CNN, is he?

And what about George F. Will as a regular on ABC? Seems to me that outnumbers FOX right there!! Big grin

I think they are very good about making sure both sides are represented. They almost always have folks on both sides of issues. Some of their contributors are flaming libs, like Ratner, Clift, Baker, Kondrake, and that dude from Newsweek (his name escapes me),etc. I guess when people are used to left-wing news bias, when they see something in the center, it seems right-wing. Who knows why. But I think they are pretty fair.

Well hey! just watch the channel for a while .. you won't need big explainations!

Okay, if you feel like that, back it up. Thats all I am saying. Nobody else had a problem doing that. I personally never have spent much time watching fox news or CNN for that matter. Usually for the collective reasons posted above.

We get American Fox New exclusively but with CNN we alternate between various parts of the world. I watched it a lot after the attacks on the WTC (like most of the world) and we sure did see the worst of Human Nature being played out by the three anchorthings at Fox.

Talking about Fox News, it's web site is one of our successes, having received payment off them for using a picture off airliners.net without the approval of the photographer!  Laugh out loud We even have a letter of apology from them (as well as quite a nice little cheque).

I love em'! Only US news that I actually enjoy watching. All news is biased, might as well watch the one that is biased towards your own views. I really don't care how biased they are, They are not near as biased as my own opinions.

Geraldo is there where the action is. Wolf Blitzer isn't in Torra Borra or shall I say Torra no Mora  Smile/happy/getting dizzy Geraldo is way better than Wolf.

Fox is the greates TV network around I'll happly take O' Reilly over the others. The guy has challegned the ACLU for defening Nambla. He has also challenged the airlines, FAA and Argenbrite to do a better job otherwise public humiliation will be directed towards them! I don't see anyone else doing that? I didn't see anyone rip the celebrities to pieces after they failed to oversee th money that was supposed to go to the families instead most of it was going to go to other places. Thanks to O'Reilly he has scared the scrap out of the Red Cross and United way into giving all the $$$$ to the WTC families. People shouldn't have to fight on what was generoulsy donated by the amrican people. The Red Cross has been on my crap list for quite sometime. They were only going to give 1/10th of the $$$$$ to the families. But after O]reilly got thorugh with them now all the funds will go to the families. similar things were done to the United Way when they only plannes to give 15%!

Luckly most of my hard earned cash went to the Twin Towers and FDNY Widows and children's fund.

Than god for FOX, O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Sean Combs.

I still like Larry King.

Last time I checked there was a choice in your cable news viewing -- no one is pointing a gun at you and saying, "watch Fox News or I will shoot you."

If you don't like Fox News, just change the channel to CNN.
